Several construction Projects are to be initiated by VPWA with local community people and donors, help from volunteers will be needed to supplement efforts. We also need volunteers who can assist with physical labour -- carpentry, landscaping, painting and masonry. Several basic village buildings and "VPWA Youth Development Center" are scheduled to be constructed over the next couple of years, including an elementary school, preschool and a community center that would begin in hopefully 2010. If you can wield a hammer, swab a paintbrush, mix cement or lay blocks, you will be of tremendous help. Volunteers will be base in Pokuase in Greater Accra Region while they work in Damang near Nsawam. His Grace School Library VPWA is vigorously seeking for sponsorship to start building a library complex for His Grace School. This library will serve the school as well the Pokuase Township. Pokuase township does not have a library and this project is going to be opened to help school children in this community. Sanitary Centre for Amasaman Zongo
As part of VPWA commitment to promote environmental policies and initiatives and knowing very well that; the needs of communities can all not be met by the government, we have collaborated with authorities of Amasaman Zonal Council who requested for our assistance to help them construct a new sanitary toilet facility for the community to bring decent modern public toilet facility to the community. Majority of inhabitants don’t have toilet in their homes and rely most on such public facility
As soon as funds are raised, VPWA shall engage volunteers to assist in construction. Pokuase Community ICT centre
The project is to bring low cost ICT education to Ghana and subsequently spread it through out West Africa.
Construction for the Pokuase community ICT Centre shall begin very soon and volunteers will be needed to assist in the process.
