 This project is taking place in Ofankor, Pokuase and Amasaman in Greater Accra Region of Ghana and Santrokofi-Bume near Hohoe in Volta Region of Ghana and it affords an opportunity for you to assist a woman engaged in a micro enterprise in the day to day running of her small venture for economic emancipation. It is an opportunity to be directly engage with local economic activities and the struggle of women to have a share in local economy. It is also an eye-opening experience for you to understand the real african economy not the numbers on the Stock Market. Volunteer participating in Greater Accra Projects shall be living in Pokuase. Presently, under this project, selected volunteers work directly with VPWA Microfinance beneficiaries to assist them in the day to day running of their small enterprises. Accommodation:
Volunteers working on VPWA projects in Ghana lives in Greater Accra and Eastern Region respectively. Confirm your project location with coordinator. Volunteers live in shared rooms. Couples are adviced to inform us in advance. The rooms have comfortable beds with pillows so no need to bring sleeping bags. There is fan. The volunteer apartment has kitchen with fridge. Toilet and shower facility available.

Flights Volunteers must arrange their own flights to Accra Airport (ACC). Please be aware that you should communicate your arrival date and time to Volunteer Coordinator. The following airlines fly into Accra:
Visa You
must obtain a volunteer visa for travel to Ghana. Once you have secured
your place in the project and made deposit. We will send you a letter
